P= Apparent Power X Power Factor
P = 5000 X 0.8

What will be the real power if the power factor is unity?

P = 5000 X 1
P= 5000 Watts

Therefore, for the unity power factor, the real power and apparent power factor are equal. This is true for a purely resistive load because the power factor of the resistive load is equal to unity.
